Britain’s Got Talent, Me Time & Anniversary Weekend #LittleLoves

I’ve been a little quiet on the blogging front lately. I’ve just not been feeling it to be honest, sometimes I need a little break from it and I’ve been spending the time matched betting instead. I’ve made almost £400 profit since I started about a month ago so I’m pretty pleased with that. I’m aiming to eventually make £1,000 a month but it is time consuming and difficult to fit in with a toddler in my pocket.

So this is what we’ve been up to this week..

If you follow me on Instagram you’d know my mum and I managed to get tickets for Britain’s Got Talent auditions at the Lowry last Friday. It was absolutely fantastic. It was so interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes. It’s unbelievable how staged it all was though, we spent 20 minutes cheering and booing to an empty stage. We had great seats right above the judges, it was crazy seeing Simon Cowell up close although David Walliams has gone right down in our estimations, miserable sod. As soon as the camera’s stops rolling he doesn’t want to know, had nothing nice to say to the audience and looked like he really didn’t want to be there. Alesha Dixon pressed her golden buzzer so we know at least one act will be televised, I’ll die if I’m on TV. We got our free tickets through Applause Store and would highly recommend signing up, there’s loads of shows to choose from.

The quality is terrible but I was nervous and excited

We’ve made a great start with our meal planning and budgeting. We’re making a real effort to curb our spending so we have given ourselves a budget of £150 per month for all groceries and household necessities, although we’ve easily achieved this so we’re probably going to cut back even more next month. We’ve managed to bag a few freebies with the Shopmium and Checkout Smart apps, too which has helped!

You can read about how I reduce my supermarket spending in my previous post.
I’ve also made a start to M’s 3rd birthday preparation. It’s only in June but I hate the last minute panic and we came across Milkshake! Live tickets and thought it’d make the perfect present. Although even just seeing this picture makes me think it’ll be my idea of hell. I went a little overboard at Christmas so he definitely doesn’t need any more toys!

Oh I’ve heard nothing but my own horrible mum voice this week. I’ve been at the end of my tether with M and I feel awful for it. He might as well be my shadow. He doesn’t leave my side and it’s driving me mad. Even in the night he joins us in bed and feeds all night long. I’m exhausted and do not feel like a good mum right now. Explains my break from blogging, I can’t divert my attention away from him for long enough.

He hasn’t worn them yet as I always size up about ten sizes but I bought M the most gorgeous dungarees by Turtledove London, we’ve had a few things from here and the quality is just fab. I can’t wait to get them on him. I’ve got a slight addiction to buying him clothes, I never get things for myself!

It’s mine and P’s five year anniversary this week so we are packing M off to my mum’s for the night and going out for dinner. We got Odeon vouchers for Christmas so we’re gonna go and see two films too! I’m a wild one. Think we’re going for 50 Shades and La La Land. I’m so excited for a bit of ‘us’ time and I know M has a wonderful time at his Mama’s so I don’t feel too guilty about being excited!

Just a short #LittleLoves this week, I’ve got ten minutes before M is back from the park and all over me again!

Are you doing anything fun this weekend? I’d love to hear!
